The night everything changed
Ramesh climbed the pole believing the line was switched off. The current returned without warning. He fell unconscious before he reached the ground, and neighbours carried him to the district hospital in a rickshaw.
“He fought for two months to stay alive. Now we are asking for help so the fight was not for nothing.”
The burns took his right arm and left a deep scalp wound that must be closed with reconstructive surgery. The doctors at Ramco Hospital say that with the operation, he can return home within weeks.
Our savings ended in the first month. I sold my jewellery for the ICU deposit. This campaign is the only way left, and every rupee goes to the hospital directly.
